This is Port Moody. That is where we live. Mountains at the back create a very nice valley where one can find Buntzen Lake. It is only about 10 minutes from our home. Bantzen Lake is very cold so nobody except for some animals swim in it. Sometimes we are driving on this types of roads to go into the valleys of Canadian Rockies. This particular road leads to one of my favorite spots - Scocomchak Hot Spring I know that it doesn't look as a wonderful place but believe me once you sink your rear end in this primitive tab you think you are in heaven. the best time here is in the winter, late at night with a cold beer in one hand and nice companion near by. Night sky never looks better. Very close to this wonderful place is a small indian village where beside some old houses is a church built without any metal or concrete construction elements. People in this village are very friendly. Another road leads to yet another lake - Birkenhead Lake.
Or "No Name" lakes like this one
If one does not feel like driving for three hours to the remote wilderness, one can visit my favorite 'WRECK BEACH' famous for beautiful location and lots of naked people. This beach is located 20 min. drive from downtown Vancouver and just 1/2 hour drive from our home in Port Moody
